The German state pension for November 2026 arrives on 30 November 2026. 30 November is a Monday and therefore a bank business day, so the payment does not need to be brought forward. That is what the list published by the Deutsche Rentenversicherung in January 2026 says, and it follows from section 118 of Social Code Book VI: pensions are paid on the last bank business day of the month they are for. What is unusual is the gap to October's pension. Because 31 October 2026 was a Saturday, it came on Friday 30 October 2026, so 31 days pass until November's pension instead of the usual 30 or 31. Pensioners whose pension began before 1 April 2004 already receive their December pension on 30 November. The next payment follows for everyone on 31 December 2026, New Year's Eve. The statutory pension pays no special payment or Christmas bonus in November or December.

How long the money has to last

Looking at the gaps between payments helps when planning direct debits. 31 days separate the October and November pensions, 31 days the November and December pensions. When does the German pension arrive in November 2026?

On 30 November 2026. The last day of the month is a Monday and a bank business day, so nothing moves. The credit is made during the day; some banks show it in the morning, others only towards the evening in the app.

Why is there more than a month between the October and November pensions?

Because October's pension was brought forward. 31 October 2026 fell on a Saturday, so the pension came on 30 October 2026. From then to Mon 30 November is 31 days, so the money has to last a little longer than in an ordinary month.

Is the money on 30 November for November or December?

That depends on when your pension started. If it began on or after 1 April 2004, it is November's pension, paid in arrears. If it began earlier, it is December's, paid in advance. Your award notice says which rule applies to you.
